Pop singer Justin Bieber was photographed Tuesday night sporting coach Phil Jackson's Lakers championship ring 2010. The singer was courtside watching the season opener of the Lakers versus the Houston Rockets.

The Lakers were awarded their 2010 championship rings in a ceremony Tuesday night. According to ESPN, the championship rings have over 3 karats of diamonds on them and a unique feature on the underside -- leather cut from a basketball played in Game 7 of the championship series against the Boston Celtics last June.

The rings are personalized to the Lakers by the fact that there are 16 diamonds on them, representing the franchise's 16 titles, and the face of each player is sculpted in 3D onto his ring.

Justin Bieber is currently in Southern California on his MY WORLD 2.0 tour. Monday he performed in Los Angeles; Wednesday, he will do a show in Anaheim. He will also perform in San Jose and San Diego.

The singer is having a busy fall with the release of his memoir, First Step 2 Forever: My Story, the tour, and preparing to release a documentary film about his journey from YouTube to the stage called Never Say Never,due out in February.

As a native Canadian, Justin Bieber is known to be a hockey fan, but he is no stranger to basketball either, since he enjoys playing the game on his down time. No wonder he enjoyed wearing the championship ring.
