Tennis Star Sania Mirza is finally back! She had been missing in action for quite some time now following her ill-health. As a result, she could not even make it to the team event in the Asian Games.
Sania Mirza started her campaign at the Asian Games by winning against Hong Kong’s Chan Wing Yau. The dutiful wife proclaimed that her win is not just because of her game but also the inspiration she draws from her hubby dearest who was beaming away to glory in the stands.
Sania Mirza decided to celebrate a quiet birthday on November 16 at the Aoti sports complex. Her husband Shoaib had especially flown down for the occasion.
It has been a mixed day for Indian tennis at the Asian games. On one hand, the spectators were rejoicing at Sania Mirza win while they were also disappointed when another Indian tennis player, Poojashree was ousted by Kai Chen Changfrom the Chinese Taipie in sets of 2-6, 2-6.
In the mixed double event, the Indian team comprising of Rushmu Charkravathiand Sanam Singh defeated Nigina Abduraimova and Vaja Uzakov by 7-5, 6-3.
